The Periwinkle lamp is an exercise in clay formation, function, and materiality. It captures light beneath a draped shade and directs it softly downwards, celebrating the unique nature of a reactive glaze. Cast in stoneware clay, the Periwinkle is manufactured in small batches, with variations in glaze occurring from piece to piece.
During the production process, Robert Gordon Interiors collects all trimmings and scrap clay to be remixed and recast into slip. This is then used to pour into the moulds of the Periwinkle Lamp. Each shape has been developed in-house by the brand’s head designer, Brent and executed by master mould maker, Glauco.
